The technological changes are influencing the way people interact with and perceive the world.

A number of important factors like new and innovative technologies, economics, increased competitiveness, organizational performance and changing needs of the consumers foster technological change.  Therefore, organizations need strategic preparation in order to learn how to distinguish between technological fad and sustainable trend, and recognize, anticipate and react to changes.

The 7^th International Conference on the Management of Technological Changes will take place on 1-3 September 2011 in Alexandroupoli, Greece. It is jointly organized by Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, Romania and Democritus University of Thrace, Alexandroupoli, Greece, Supported by CEEMAN – Central and Eastern European Management Development Association, Slovenia.

The main objective of the conference is bringing together representatives of various state and local governmental institutions, universities, small businesses, industry associations from all over the world to debate and exchange experiences and important issues related to the management of technological change and to provide a good opportunity for networking for all these groups that promote and foster the process of technological change.
